Italian Antipasto Board (Easy 10-Minute Appetizer)
This Italian-inspired antipasto board is a simple, beautiful, no-cook appetizer that comes together in minutes. Loaded with fresh mozzarella, marinated roasted peppers, cured meats, and sweet grapes — it’s the perfect board for hosting, holidays, or a quick weeknight spread.
Ingredients
- 8–10 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- 1 jar roasted red peppers, drained
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp red wine vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced (or pinch garlic powder)
- Pinch salt & black pepper
- Del Duca salami
- Calabrese or hot capocollo
- Grapes (1–2 small bunches)
- Optional: nuts (pistachios, almonds), crackers, olives
Instructions
- Marinate the peppers: Slice the roasted peppers into strips. Toss with olive oil, vinegar, garlic, salt, and pepper. Let sit 10 minutes.
- Prepare the mozzarella: Fan slices on the board. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and finish with salt, pepper, and fresh basil.
- Fold the meats: Quarter-fold salami into small cups. Fold and roll the capocollo for height and texture.
- Add grapes: Place a small bunch at the top or corner of the board for color and height.
- Arrange the board: Keep ingredients grouped—peppers on one side, mozzarella in the center, meats on the right.
- Fill gaps: Add nuts, olives, or extra grapes to make the board look full but clean.
Tips
- Use fresh basil—it makes the mozzarella pop visually.
- A drizzle of balsamic glaze can add a sweet finish.
- Let refrigerated meats sit out for 10 minutes so they fold easily.
- Use a dark wooden board for the best color contrast.
Serving Notes
This board is perfect for holidays, Sunday dinners, wine nights, or a quick appetizer when guests drop by. Pair with crusty bread or Italian crackers for the full experience.
