Crispy Air Fryer Buffalo Wings

That farmer’s market tip for restaurant-level crisp — tossed in buttery Buffalo heat for the ultimate wing night.

Crispy Air Fryer Buffalo Wings on a plate
⏱️ Prep: 10 min 🔥 Cook: 25 min 🍗 Serves: 2–3

Ingredients

  • 1 dozen fresh chicken wings
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp aluminum-free baking powder
  • ½ cup Louisiana hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp honey (optional, for a mild finish)

Instructions

  1. Prep the wings: Pat dry thoroughly. Toss with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, and baking powder until evenly coated.
  2. Air fry: Preheat to 390°F. Arrange wings in a single layer and cook 22–25 minutes, flipping halfway through. Wings should reach 185–190°F internally for crispy skin.
  3. Make the sauce: In a small pan, melt butter with Louisiana hot sauce and garlic powder. For a milder flavor, add a teaspoon of honey.
  4. Toss & serve: Coat wings immediately after air frying. Serve hot with your favorite dip and celery sticks.
“The secret’s in the baking powder — it raises the skin’s pH and gives that signature restaurant crunch, even in an air fryer.”
